Who we are

This website is run by La Casita Co., Ltd., 18/4 Ratvithi Road, Si Phum, Mueang, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand. We are the data controller under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA).

What we don't do

No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising networks, no newsletter, no user accounts, no contact forms. The public website sets no cookies at all. Fonts and images are served from our own server, so no third party learns that you opened a page.

Server logs

When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical data: your IP address, browser type, the time and the page requested. Our hosting provider Railway (servers in Singapore) processes this to deliver the site and to keep it secure, for example to block attacks. These logs are kept only as long as needed for operation and security, and we don't use them to identify individual visitors. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.

If you type our address without the “www”, that single request is handled by Cloudflare, which forwards you to www.lacasita.co.th.

Google Maps

The map in the “Find Us” section only loads after you click “Load map”. Until then, nothing is sent to Google. Once loaded, Google receives your IP address and can set its own cookies. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy. The same goes for the “Google Maps directions” link.

Google reviews

We show our Google rating and a few of our Google reviews, including the reviewer's name and profile photo exactly as they appear publicly on Google Maps. Our server fetches them from Google once a day; your browser never connects to Google for this. If you wrote one of these reviews and would rather not see it here, edit it on Google or simply tell us and we'll take it down.

Links to other services

Links to LINE, Facebook, Google and Swees open in a new tab. From there on, those companies' privacy policies apply, not ours.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected, deleted or restricted, or object to its use. In practice we hold almost nothing, but ask anyway and we'll answer. You can also complain to Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).

Changes

If something changes, we update this page and the date at the top. No pop-ups, no banners.
